Diane Kowalski has been training dogs and their people for over 30 years. With a strong and successful background in teaching and competing in obedience, Diane has branched out over the years and has added agility and freestyle to her list of accomplishments.
With her introduction to freestyle, Diane found a new passion. Her freestyle performances are unparalleled. She is one of the most dedicated competitors and instructors participating in the sport of freestyle.
Diane was named Trainer of the Year by WCFO for 2002 and 2005 and won the WCFO National Champion trophy for 2003 and 2006. She has also earned multiple Canine Musical Freestyle and Heelwork to Music Championships with her canine partners with many high artistic, high technical and high combined awards over the years.
She and her dogs have been featured on the cover of Off-Lead Training Magazine five times. Diane and her dogs have also appeared on Inside Edition, National Geographic, Reader’s Digest, Border Collie Magazine, Modern Dog and BARK Magazine as well as many other publications.
Always respectful of her canine partners, Diane trains only with positive reinforcement. Her training techniques were rewarded when she received the Gaines Medal in 1990 for her efforts to promote positive training methods. Diane was recently selected by a minor league baseball team to be the “personal trainer” for their Yellow Lab mascot, Bob. Bob will make many public appearances for the team and perform during the home games.
